Please help me with dress colours... blue and purple...?

that is my bridesmaid dresses or will be rather.. my colours are blue and purple so i will be keeping the dress in the purple but i need to change the ribbon to a blue but im not sure what would be the best shade, like royal blue, baby blue etc.. the mens ties will match the ribbon

When is the wedding? If it is in the fall, I would go with a navy color to offset the fall colors. If it is in the summer or in the spring, then go with a blue in the same tone of the purple--a little on the smokey side.





The dress is very unusual, play that up for a truly unique look. You could even bring it out in the BM hair accessories or hair styles.








***** Unusual with the modified rusching (sp?) and the tie on the side. Using the color contrast will really play up that it is not your typical spaghetti strap bridesmaid dress.

Reply:Well, they have baby pink in the picture, so baby blue would show up well, too..


If you were choosing a second bridesmaid dress, I would say get one in a jewel color like saphire or royal, but they won't show up as a ribbon in a dress as well.

Reply:I think a lighter blue (ie sky blue / baby blue) would look nice. If you wanted a slightly darker colour (though I would not go too dark, no matter what) I would make sure it is more of a teal blue (the green tones will match in nicely with the purple).

Reply:I think that the picture tells you everything you need to know. See the pink is a very pale pink! I think try a baby blue to bring out the purcple but you should really go to a shop and put these two colours together as they may not go at all.





Pink matches this purple very well but I just don't know about blue!!!
Reply:baby blue, two darker colors clash too much and the ribbon wont show um well if you do royal blue.
