Why no blue? Maybe you could compromise with him and opt for a cobalt blue, like the wedding I just did for a bride a week ago. I'm forwarding the link. (to show you how beautiful blue is!!) go to www.Eventpix.com and then type in: Ashley %26amp; Tony Cortese. The event password is "Sundream" (without the quotes). Once in the site, CLICK ON NEXT to enter the site %26gt;%26gt; CLICK ON CATEGORIES to view the images because there is only one on the first page. The rest are under the categories.

If not blue, I know lavender works really well with silver and photographs very nicely. You want COLOR in your photos. Another idea that I have seen, have each girl wear a different colored dress but the dress is the same. This is a very nice look that I have seen a couple of brides do.

Happy Planning and Congratulations
Reply:purple or plum or burgundy goes with silver so does lavender and violet.
Reply:I'm getting married next year. If my fiancee told me "no burgundy" (I'm going tentatively for burgundy and gold) I'd be shocked.

The man is so crazy to marry me I could paint his face orange and ask him to wear pink and he'd do it...he understands that the wedding is my fantasy (yes, ladies, he does wear the pants in our relationship and yes, we make a lot of choices together) and he's thrilled that I just said yes!!!
Reply:go onto www.davidsbridal.com they can show u all kinds of colors and if your fiance is having a hard time with the color blue tell him that maybe u oughta reconsider the wedding all together. most men dont make a issue out of colors so enjoy and match it to your liking...
Reply:Well compromise with him on another blue tone. Maybe like an aqua or the tiffany blue.

Or if you go for light tones, like ivories and creames you can through a bit of color by adding some blue orchids in the centerpieces and maybe a blue drink...here is a link to a small picture its # 3

Reply:I would discuss what you want with your fiancee again and see if you can reach a compromise... navy blue and silver would be lovely! Very calming classy, while still striking.
Reply:Perhaps you can use purple...very close to royal blue but still make fiancee happy. Think outisde the box when you are looking for colors. For instance I planned a wedding for a really sporty couple and we actually pulled the wedding colors off a bottle of her fav. flavor of Gatorade (like a med purple, aqua, and creams)

I tell all my brides to go to Home Depot and play with the paint chips. Put all sorts of colors together until you find a look that makes you happy. Then, take home a few sets of the wedding colors. They really come in handy because you can take them with you shopping or give them to vendors when you want to color match or see if something goes well.

Benjamin moore paints also has a tool online that lets you do this.
Reply:Ask him what colors he likes then blend the two. use your favorite color in the flowers as you will be carrying most of them!. Golds and yellows go very nice with blues.

think of the season too. if your wedding is in the fall choose darker yellows and golds with a darker blue, in the summer, bright yellows and beautiful blues will look great.
Reply:i had a black red and white wedding
