What makeup should i wear with a blue and gold dress?

i'm going to a wedding do in july and ive got a royal blue dress to wear for it, it has a gold flower on the front of it with gold studs.

im clueless about what makeup to wear as i usually go for a smoky eye with a light foundation and i feel it wouldnt look right at a summer wedding with a blue and gold dress lol!!

i have blue eyes and a light skin tone, but i will have a natural tan by then.

any ideas anyone?

also a little extra, im not sure what colour accessories, shoes, etc to get..gold or another colour?..any feedback will be appreciated, thankyou.

What makeup should i wear with a blue and gold dress?
Gold shoes

Gold nails

Just wear eyeliner mascara and a little bit of light blue eye shadow
Reply:Black mascara and eyeliner, golden brown or pale blue eye shadow, soft pink lipgloss
Reply:I would wear gold flats or stilleto's.

As for the eyeshadow I would definitely try

to find the same colour as the dress :)

It would look gorgeous ! or if you cannot find

a royal blue, go for the gold.

If you're going to wear any jewellery I would

try to find gold one's so that they would match

better then the silver.

And like that other girl said, wear gold nail polish :)

It would look really good all together !
Reply:ew do nawt wear blue eyeshadow that is so tacky,

same with gold nails! i dont no what shesss thinking.

i think u should try maybelline's gold mouse, its not tooo shiny, and it looks natural +it would match with ur dress.

hmm i would get my nails done, or get a french manicure, that looks good with anything. wear some foundation, if u need it. idk what ur hair color is, but if its brown, than wear black mascara, and a little bit of eyeliner on top and bottom, if ur hair colors blonde, i would go with brown eyeliner on top, and darkish brown mascara =) good luck!!

and yeah gold jewelry would look great =]
Reply:ooo you should do the whole eyelid gold (it looks good on everybody) then do a little bit of blue on the corners either on the inside corner or the outside corner...
Reply:steps to makeup perfection with a blue dress ohh and btw get gold shoes

1) cleanse/tone/moisturize

2) do that light foundation thing and remember the sunscreen

3) set with mineral powder

4)apply a rose cream blush to apples of cheeks

5) apply powder bronzer in a shimmer formula to the places where the sun "kisses" your face (chin, jawline, browbones, cheekbones, hairline)

6)apply a dark royal blue eyeliner and smudge with angle brush

7) highlight brow bone with gold eyeshadow ( try covergirl eye enhancers in champagne)

8) wet your eyeshadow brush (if your using a sponge you need help!) and dip into eyeshadow and "foil" onto lid

9) in the outer crease apply a bronze eyeshadow (or if your lazy just use a shimmer bronzer like the one you used before)

10) curl lashes and apply either black or brown mascara

11) nude lipstick try the loreal ones

and a classic french mani/pedi
Reply:Your dress sounds gorgeous!! I would totally play up your tan with your makeup. Wear bronzer or a light foundation the color of your tan. Use a multi-tasking makeup like NARS The Multiple in Palm Beach ( a nice, rich bronze color) to accent your cheekbones. Brush on a neutral shadow from lash to brow, then put more Palm Beach in the crease. Bronze eyeliner will be pretty (Bare Escentuals mineral makeup has several in that shade...practice using beforehand if you aren't used to using mineral powder for liner), and your usual mascara. Go for a shiny gloss in a color that looks well with your skintone but with some tasteful gold shimmer in it. Or try your favorite lipgloss with L'Oreal Colourjuice Golden Splash over it.

Understated gold jewelry (like a brushed gold look) and heels in a bronze metallic will tie your look together. Have fun!!

Reply:keep it simple

bronzer to show of ur tan

and blue mascarra to make it more funky

try a chunky gold bangle with a blue clutch bag

and gold shoes!

hope i helped

and have fun
Reply:If the whole dress is blue than you have enough of that...you wanna go with the gold accents (purse, earrings, bracelts). I would go for the open toed shoe, those can be navy blue also, but make sure they are the same color navy blue. Then get a french manicure done on your nails and toes. Go with a navy blue eye shadow but not too much make it dark by your eyelashes then fade up into abou the middle of your eye lid then black liner and mascara...you should just practice in the mirror a couple times if it means that much to you. Once you have all your items..put them on a couple days in advance and play around with it. But yeah a gold clutch purse would look good, make sure your jewelry matches, dont want several shades of blue and gold that would look tacky.
Reply:I agree with Jill and Meg on everything. Either one will be beautiful.

Don't overdo the jewelry. Earrings, ring with a watch and/or bracelet in gold. The brushed gold is awesome.

Gold strappy sandals and a clutch. Something fun and cute.
