What color is "Royal"?

My supervisor and I were having an argument as to what color "Royal" is. I think it's purple, she says it's blue. I'm a graphic designer - it would be important that I knew!

What color is "Royal"?
There is a color called "Royal Blue", but purple is considered the Royal color.

Reply:I would say blue although you do see purple associated with a kings robe.

Seems to be Purple.
