Colors for December 08 wedding?

I'm getting married in December 08. I plan on using royal blue and silver. Bridesmaids gowns in royal blue with silver shoes, my wedding gown is white. What color flowers would look good with royal blue and silver? I love lilies and red roses but not sure how the red will look. Someone said yellow but I have never been a big fan of yellow. Any advice is greatly appreciated! I will be using silk flowers.

Colors for December 08 wedding?
white mums or white tulips
Reply:I say go off the beaten path a little and use baby breathes. It's a clean %26amp; classy look...I've seen some beutiful flowers done in baby breaths--- you and your bridesmaid can carry them...yours would have to be a step up from theres and that;s when your red roses come in. Check out some of my favorite pics.
Reply:I think white against their dresses would look lovely. My bridesmaid dresses are hunter green and they are doing white with greenery.

Also, try typing in "blue flowers" in google. See what comes up. Maybe you can do a combo of white and blue in your bouquet, with silver or white ribbon?

Good luck.
Reply:Royal blue and silver will make beautiful wedding colors!!!! Consider white roses edged in shimmery silver (florists can do this)...or white roses with blue edging. A florist can dye roses any color you wish...so you may even want to consider regular red roses with silver or white roses mixed in.
Reply:you could have red roses and your girls could have white roses up against their blue dresses :) that would look awesome
Reply:Id just use white calla lillies and white roses. But if you're using silk flowers then there are places who sell blue and even diff. color flowers.
Reply:i think that lilies would be perfect for a winter wedding in december. when i first started planning my wedding, i was using the colors of turquise blue and white with lilies, until i changed my colors to camoflauge. i dont think that red would look good with the royal blue and white, it will make it look more like a 4th of july wedding than a december wedding. i say use the lilies, they will look great against the royal blue.
Reply:I think red would be pretty or maybe white roses since it's kinda a winter wedding. What about incorporating snowflakes into your wedding also, just a thought? I think they're really really pretty. You could do white lillies even. I wouldn't do yellow, it would clash with your colors and it being in the winter would just look weird.

You amy try theknot.com for some tips :)

Reply:If you have the girls in royal blue and you in white, and red roses, I'd be scared it would look flaggy or 4th of July. The lilies would be nice, maybe paired with a purple tone.
Reply:i saw some silk red roses and i thought they looked fake:((((

what about gerber daisies? red or white?
Reply:I would go with White with Royal blue accents.......
Reply:White flowers with a little red dye in the flowers, and I think bows of red would look good wrapped around each dress
Reply:i would do white roses or lillies, maybe red for you, and have your florist add some silver accents. sillver ribbon around stems, paint some foliage silver, if you talk to you florist and see what they have in silver i'm sure you'll find something you'll like, but i would definatly go with mostly white.
Reply:I think red or deep burgundy flowers would look lovely. Especially with some dark greenery. Roses come in lots of shades of red. If you have a swatch of fabric from your maids' dresses, you could take it to the florist or craft shop and put it up against several colors to see which you like. You could wrap the stems of the bouquets in silver/platinum cloth ribbon, which would look so classy, but is inexpensive at the fabric store if you're doing it yourself. Best wishes!
