Is it acceptable to wear a blue dress with black in it to a wedding that is in august??

the wedding is at noon and the dress is a flower print that is royal blue with black outlines around all the flowers

Is it acceptable to wear a blue dress with black in it to a wedding that is in august??
yes its fine to wear
Reply:I was thinking the same thing! OH wait, I'm wrong....I was thinking if it was ok to wear a purple thong, with a light blue tank top, and striped green socks to a funeral...in May
Reply:Wear it.Just don't wear all-white to a white wedding.
Reply:I can't see a problem with it - the only thing I would stay away from is anything that may look like the bridesmaids or a wedding dress...other than that, you're fine.
Reply:The main rule of thumb to follow for weddings is not to wear white, because that's traditionally what the bride wears, and you don't want to wear anything that draws attention away from the bride. Your dress sounds pretty, and appropriate. But you're still not supposed to look as good as the bride.
Reply:If you're not the bride or a bride's maid, you can wear what you want.
Reply:is this a first time weeding affair it dosent matter if its august or december- here first time weedings--- white--- second times- strickly blue etc!! and black is not recommendedd for a wediing save that one for a funeral hang that other dress up in closett for a funeral, go out get striclkly whit gown!1
Reply:Sounds perfect to me. Shoes that are black or the same color blue would be great. If you wear black shoes, they have some great hose in all sorts of patterns that would dress up the outfit. Don't forget a dress purse!
Reply:The more important issue is what is the material. If it is a summer weight material (and not cut up to your *** and down to your navel), then you are fine.
Reply:Why do you care what other people think? Wear what you want, when you want. March to your own drum beat. Be yourself.
Reply:Yes it is acceptable. It is still summer!
Reply:Wear whatever you want. Since the wedding is at noon it will probably be a more casual affair anyway.
Reply:the dress you describe is not for a wedding who are you trying to insult besides yourself is this the answer you were anticipating then go for it
Reply:yes, why not.... have a good time.
Reply:wear whatever you want to wear. as long as you look nice.
Reply:As long as a large part of it isn't black, you should be fine.
Reply:Absolultely. If you're not in the wedding itself, you are under no constraints. But it sounds beautiful.
Reply:Absolutly Black is very in now at weddings
Reply:Sure, it sounds nice
Reply:oh sure.
Reply:Sure..just be comfortable and enjoy yourself
Reply:No. Its not really traditional and you don't want to embarrass the host. Try a simple white dress.
Reply:yes its fine to wear i wore an all black dress to my best friends wedding in July..
Reply:You can wear whatever you want....The stuffy rules have long gone. If you feel good in the dress wear it.
Reply:As long as it has flowers.
Reply:Sure, but you might be too hot. As far as I know, any color is acceptable now, except for white. You aren't allowed to compete with the bride.
Reply:why not? the only things i see as not acceptable is wearing all black, or all white. other than that, i don't see anything wrong
Reply:Yes...but depending on where you live, you'll be sweating your butt off!!!
Reply:It sounds nice. Sure. Why not?
