Are you with me? How many people are bleeding Royals blue this summer? I smell a pennant this year!!?

I've tried to be optimistic about the Royals, but they are 30th in runs scored and 29th in runs per game. Two NL teams have scored almost twice as many runs as the Royals. They can't win if they don't score.

I have to agree with you that the Royals are getting better with upcoming players like joe gathright and alex gordon. However, I think that they need a couple more years to be a league leading team. Also, if they did make it to the post season, they would not do anything mainly because of their limited post season experience
Reply:I bleed Royals blue every summer. While the Royals are definitely better, I think some bad BBQ is messing with your sniffer if you're smelling a pennant. They'll make a push at a .500 record this year and maybe, just maybe a push at a wild card spot next year. I'd love to see a pennant as much as any other KC fan, but thats just not realistic.
Reply:they are a much better team this year, but, they are still 4 or 5 players away.

They need two more front line pitchers. They need a very good, full time first baseman. They need a catcher that can hit. Jose Guillen was a mistake.
Reply:I don't think they're there yet. But they are heading in the right directions. They need to build an offense around the young arms they have in the rotation.
Reply:They might let the Royals smell the pennant this year, but winning it is another story.
Reply:I know they have played well, but too soon on a pennant.
Reply:the royals aren't that good
Reply:actually im bleeding red, i didnt know people had royal blue blood
