It wasn't just royals that were referred to as having blue blood - it was the aristrocracy and it was becuase they didn't expose themselves to the sun and weren't doing jobs where their hands could get dirty, therefore the veins were easier to see and, as veins look blue they were referred to as having blue blood.

It might be the first answer but I think it also has something to do with haemophilia which is a disease often associated with male royalty. It means that the blood doesn't clot and, therefore may appear more blue than red.

Who are better, the Royal Air Force, or the Blue Angels?
With manuvering, air shows, things like that.
Who are better, the Royal Air Force, or the Blue Angels?
I live just 3 miles from the East Coast home of the Blue Angels. I see and hear them practice all the time. I have been to their air shows many times and have even flown in the simulators they use.
They still amaze me every time I watch them. I have seen the Royal Air Force, but the Blue Angel pilots are all combat experienced, and lets face it, they also have carrier landing experience, which in itself is quite a feat of flying.
The thunderbirds are also excellent pilots, but they do not land on a rolling ship in the dark of night. Now that's flying.

U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds are terrific as well as U.S. Navy Blue Angels. I have seen both too many times to count. Others I have seen in person include Canada's precision team as well.
By far, Blue Angels and Thunderbirds are the best in the world!

I would go with black. My mother (MOB) wore black and my girls wore a light pink color. It looked very beautiful, elegant and it matched with everything. Plus, it is really close to Navy blue, so it should blend well with everything. My mom also found it was a lot easier to find a dress in black.

Why do Royal Mail put parcels in my blue bin when I'm out?
I have recently been receiving some parcels as purchases from ebay.............. but when I'm out the postman puts them in my blue recycling paper bin which gets emptied regularly.
Ususally this doesn't annoy me as they send a note through my door to let me know - but recently there has been no note?
I only by chance found a parcel in my blue bin the other day as I looked into it amongst all the other rubbish I was about to chuck out!

I'm not sure who would be liable because if you accidentally throw something away you wouldn't know that you've thrown it away you would only be able to assume that that's what happened if you have a parcel go missing. I can't imagine any postal worker owning up to having done this either so I think you might find yourself in a stale mate situation.
What you do need to do though is put a stop to this by contacting royal mail although when I've had postal problems in the past I've felt as though I've wasted my time contacting them because I never feel confident that the message has got to the postie.
Is there anywhere else you can keep your blue bin so that the option isn't available? It's a poor do when you have to move your bin to avoid this but it may be your safest option.

I would ask him 2 leave it somewhere else if you see him, or ring the sorting office %26amp; leave a message. I wouldn't complain as he probably doesn't realise he shouldn't do this. i think the stiffness of the frame is different. or maybe the flex point. not sure about that though but that is the most likely difference in those racquets.
Reply:I believe the blue is a actual frame not a big chain store production. The blue has the speed port design with the actual speed ports. While the O3 royal does not it just has the design with the holes throughout the head of the racquet.
I just ordered the Prince 03 Royal from sports authority online with the $25 off coupon excellent deal. I have been contemplating getting the racquet for months now and I have now decided to go after it. I have swung around in the store with it and its great nice and light weight with lots of power believe me this is NO pro racquet its a beginner to intermediate level frame. Its excellent for the price and is basically a O3 blue knock off with cheaper materials. I recommend this raquet if you have a budget of $150 or less unless your gonna get a 03 blue off ebay.

I just ordered the Prince 03 Royal from sports authority online with the $25 off coupon excellent deal. I have been contemplating getting the racquet for months now and I have now decided to go after it. I have swung around in the store with it and its great nice and light weight with lots of power believe me this is NO pro racquet its a beginner to intermediate level frame. Its excellent for the price and is basically a O3 blue knock off with cheaper materials. I recommend this raquet if you have a budget of $150 or less unless your gonna get a 03 blue off ebay.

Depends on your skin color. Usually you wear something bright or that pops so it stands out in the picture and doesnt wash you out. Brighter colors look better in photos. I would go with a pink that looks good on you. I think pink and blue would go together well. Or if your more of a red person...red looks good in photos and with blue also. d

In order to dye it royal blue you have to bleach the area where you wanna dye (in ur case the top), so they'll just take the top layer of ur hair. If your using a professional don't fret about bleaching. I have my hair dyed purple and it didn't damage mine...and mind u it's purple.

I like the idea of bowls of water with a floating candle. To expand on that a bit, put blue marbles or "sea glass pebbles" that are found in any hobby store in the bottoms of the bowls. Set round or square mirrors under the bowls to reflect light. Silver confetti sprinkled down the table center would continue the reflective theme.
Reply:a very pretty look for the tables: rent some circle mirrors for the center of the tables, buy various wine glasses from Good Will and have them on the mirror with candles or floating candles in them (odd # of glasses on each table), you can dye the water blue in the glasses of doing floating candles or get the blue candles (maybe make your own by getting candle making kits from the craft store, then you can dye it your blue color and they will be formed to the glasses) . maybe blue glass stones scattered on the mirror with small tea lights around on the mirror also.
favors- this site had some neat stuff- wine stopper, metal bookmarks, I liked the heart shaped cookie cutter as a wedding favor!

Reply:That's a difficult match; because the colors are on the opposite side of one another, blue is cool and maroon has a depths to it, usually Burgundy, and dark with light blue work well together with maroon. What is needed is to warm the room up some, Therefore you might want to try a very lite pink; almost a pale pink or if you want to keep it cool a very lite blue, and a touch of that color around the room with diff rent accessories.

Does anyone know how to dye white capezio nylon tights to a royal blue with rit dye successfully.?
I've tried the washing machine method (not dark enough) and the stovetop method (dye didnt penetrate perfectly, looks kind of marbled), and I've even added salt, per rit instructions. Can I re-try dyeing the tights or do I need to start over with a new pair of white? Help.

I rescued a pit bull (I rescue animals which most will not). Are you looking for a fighting dog as the website suggests with the lightening bolts and aggresive pictures? Pits are wonderful animals with dominant tendencies..not unlike...let us say....Poodles...#1 bitters). If you love Pits and want one, I suggest you find an organization which does not advocate the negative side of this heritage. As with all "alpha" motivated animals (humans included), the dedication to a happy co-existance without incident increases. Although my pup tests my nerves, at times, she is as sweet as all sunshine. Hope this helps.

I rescued a pit bull (I rescue animals which most will not). Are you looking for a fighting dog as the website suggests with the lightening bolts and aggresive pictures? Pits are wonderful animals with dominant tendencies..not unlike...let us say....Poodles...#1 bitters). If you love Pits and want one, I suggest you find an organization which does not advocate the negative side of this heritage. As with all "alpha" motivated animals (humans included), the dedication to a happy co-existance without incident increases. Although my pup tests my nerves, at times, she is as sweet as all sunshine. turtle wax makes a product called "color back' It's a fairly aggressive chemical and rubbing compound.

I am going to buy an '08 Civic Sedan. What color is classier? royal blue pearl or Black?
Well the Civic (in my opinion) is classy, but i would have to say the Royal Blue, black is cool and all but its more common that Blue so ya.

Normally, grays look great with blues, but combined with dark blue and dark wood, it would definitely come off cool and more formal. Taupes, while brownish, can also fall into the gray family but, even when they don't, aren't particularly inviting. Unless you get a lot of all day sunlight in the room, I wouldn't go that route.
A creamy white might look good, but I think any color in the white will be washed out next to the blue/dark wood -- you might as well go all white at that point. If you did a cream color, it'd have to be a very heavy cream... A beige could also work, but it depends on how much brown you want in the room. Personally, I think a creamy beige with yellow or pink tones (see links -- a few that would go imho...) would be best. Either will have a soft inviting glow, but a yellowish-beige will give a more casual, cheery feel to the room since it'll bring out the blue in the carpet; a pinkish-beige will be more subtle, but really bring out the beauty of your wood molding/piano.

Taupes, while brownish, can also fall into the gray family but, even when they don't, aren't particularly inviting. Unless you get a lot of all day sunlight in the room, I wouldn't go that route.
A creamy white might look good, but I think any color in the white will be washed out next to the blue/dark wood -- you might as well go all white at that point. If you did a cream color, it'd have to be a very heavy cream... A beige could also work, but it depends on how much brown you want in the room. Personally, I think a creamy beige with yellow or pink tones (see links -- a few that would go imho...) would be best. Either will have a soft inviting glow, but a yellowish-beige will give a more casual, cheery feel to the room since it'll bring out the blue in the carpet; a pinkish-beige will be more subtle, but really bring out the beauty of your wood molding/piano.

How can I get a stain out of a royal blue silk beaded gown w/o leaving water stain. Tag says do not dry clean?
I collect antique and vintage Japanese kimonos and Chinese gowns. I wish I knew what the stain was to better instruct you. However, if the stain has an oily feel to it or the silk is darkened in that area try sprinkling baking soda, baby powder, salt, borax or cornstarch (whatever you have on hand) over the spot. Any of these absorb oil without damage to the delicate silk fiber. I have also used dry granule carpet cleaners on my gowns and kimonos to remove "mystery" stains without harm. Resolve, Capture and ChemDry all make them and you simply sprinkle them on the stain, agitate carefully with a nubby terry towel, allow to dry and either vacuum or shake off the dry granules. Many of my handmade gowns are simply too fragile to be dry cleaned and these are ways to "clean" them without damage.

The truck and paint are new. The scratches were made by two dogs jumping up on the doors. The scratches aren't uniform and some places are deeper than others. I think they can be buffed out but I need help choosing a product or a business.

I would paint everything snow white, walls, ceiling, doors. Then put molding around the ceiling and paint it and the trim around doors the color of your carpet. Have a white bedspread with blue pillows and then introduce another color such as sunflower yellow or orange to go with it. And always remember, paint is the cheapest thing you can do and makes the biggest impact, if you don't like it, repaint with another color.

Czar Nicholas of Russian was very kind, but let others, such as his wife Alexandra make influence his decisions heavily. He was a weak man who never wanted to succeed his father.
