Need help with making a choice. What color or colors would go good with royal blue ?

I have gotten several ideas for colors but i can't decide and my fiance is no help choosing. My friends tell me colors like yellows, reds, purples, browns, greens, and other blues but they are no help either. Please help me decide. It would be very much appreciated thanks

Need help with making a choice. What color or colors would go good with royal blue ?
My colors are royal blue, light blue, navy and white with silver accents, if your theme is keeping with a more nautical theme like mine.

I agree red would not work UNLESS you have a more patriotic theme or the wedding is around the Fourth of July.

Yellows, greens in certain shades, brown shades of tan or sand, or most shades of pink would work as well.....

It might be some trial and error, but you'll come up with the colors you like.....
Reply:Choosing colors first and then trying to find dresses to match isn't always easy. For me, my girls and I went dress shopping first and we found the dress they agreed on and then we picked a color out of the colors it came in and which they looked best in, then I decided on the accent colors after the dresses were picked. It was so much easier.
Reply:I think that the color navy blue fits in a nautical pallete very well. If you are using the blue as your main color, i would use white, cream and yellow as the accents. then add a few more nautical things to the room such as whicker furniture and pictures of sailboats and anchors. hope this helped and good luck with your decorating
Reply:I like it with lighter *aqua blue* with silver accents, a lot like the tablecloth with the sequins here. By the way whenever I need to come up with color theme for something I go to a furniture accessory store and look at throw pillows etc it gives you some great ideas.

Reply:My wedding colors were royal blue, white and silver. You could go with a lighter blue. Why dont you go to a fabric store and find a blue that you really like and then walk around and hold it next to a bunch of different colors. Pick the ones you like the most. I hope this helps. Good luck.
Reply:my best friends sisters wedding was a navy blue(if ur willing to change blues) and gold with white.but royal blue might look good with gold too.the linen was white with blue napkins.the BM's dresses were navy blue with gold shoes and gold jewelry.i dont remember what the flowers were but it was a very nice wedding.hope i helped.GOODLUCK!
Reply:For spring or summer, go with a nice yellow, peach, rose, and/or a lighter blue like sky blue.

For fall, I'd use a darker/brighter pink, aqua, or burgundy with a lighter accent like cream.

No browns or greens.
Reply:It depends on what you like, not what someone else likes. Go to a local hardware store and browse the paint chips. Mix and match them at home in the natural light until you find a combo you love.
Reply:the website for the paint company dulux has a great colour match system. Try that.

I love blue and brown together personally.
Reply:Well it depends on the time of the year. If its towards winter time I'd say go with royal blue and silver, or a dark purple. If its spring a lighter green or pink color would look pretty. NO browns!
Reply:Look at hawaiian clothes to get an idea of what goes with the royal blue.

You can always go silver.
Reply:I think royal blue and silver look really good with touches of fushcia colored flowers
Reply:Since you 've chosen a dark color i think you goona use a lighter one like white, beige, yellow, peach, good luck!
Reply:what i would do is go really exotic. go with yellow with hints of blue. they sound wierd to go together but a dark blue accents a fairly bright yelllow. Good luck!
Reply:My wedding colors were royal blue and silver and it was beautiful!!!
Reply:Pearl white would be a soft color touch to add.
Reply:i would have to say some thing that blends in well toghether like pink with blue or black and brown evwn purple and black.
Reply:lol I wouldnt do red unless you want your wedding theme to be the american flag, sorry!!! I say yellow and light blue would be very pretty
Reply:either white or gray/silver look very nice with royal blue
Reply:silver goes very well with royal blue
Reply:well like some kind of red or like white okay girlfirend
Reply:Take the gown off the rack, and carry it down the store aisle and hold it up to every other dress in the place until you find one that appeals to you. Buy that one.

We can sit here and type in our fav colors until you are old and grey, but unless those colors are available at the bridal store, it will not mean a thing.

I went bridesmaid dress shopping at a popular store a few years ago, and was astounded at the ugly colors. Mauve, the part lavender part brown one. Teal that was almost grey, aqua marine blue it looked like it belonged in the 19sixties, it almost glowed.

I would pick other royal colors. Ruby red, deep purple, amethyst yellow, deep pink that is almost fuschia . Find a color wheel and find the colors opposit it on the color wheel for clues, or go to the hadrware store, find your color, and go down the rows until you find a color. Then see if someone has a dress in that color.
Reply:Hot pink.

Beige.

Plaid.

Corduroy.
