What color should I paint a bedroom with royal blue carpet?

I would paint everything snow white, walls, ceiling, doors. Then put molding around the ceiling and paint it and the trim around doors the color of your carpet. Have a white bedspread with blue pillows and then introduce another color such as sunflower yellow or orange to go with it. And always remember, paint is the cheapest thing you can do and makes the biggest impact, if you don't like it, repaint with another color.

What color should I paint a bedroom with royal blue carpet?
Green is essentially linked to life; it reminds us of nature and is perfect for interiors we want to connect with outside.
Reply:do whut the first person said,,,but i'd go to a feature wall..that too would make ur room a bit larger or longer or JUST plain coool...yknow paint one wall totally different...
Reply:there is enough dark in navy blue ,so stay away from dark colours ,you do not want to feel closed in ,so i would say light colours definate !!

it is hard to judge as i am not sure if it is a bis or small room ,high or low ceilings and how many walls ,this all depends ,if it is a small room then light colours ,light blue ,lemon, cream white !

if it is a bis room with a more than 3 walls i would still use these colours ,but i would paint the center wall facing your bed the same colour as your carpet navy !!if you want that trendy ,urban ,apprtment style !!

The best way to choose colours for any room is to think back when you painted at school ,primary colours and then the opposite ,think of the opposites of a colour and stay away from them ,example ,navy blue does not go with red ,green ,purple ,etc etc

I hope i have been some help ,good luck !!!
Reply:Definitely a light color, something soft. An off white, a pale blue maybe
Reply:if your a daring type go orange or red as they are contrasting colours but if youd prefer to be on the safe side try a paler plue or maybe try your back wall in a darker colour
Reply:(white )if blue will be to much of same color.curtains royal blue and royal blue for bed spread, lots of pretty white throw pillows on bed a white throw laid over chair ,white flowers blue vase, theme of blue and white
Reply:A light blue would work well, it's best to keep the ceiling white. Pale yellow would also work, as long as the coordinating colors are displyed through out the room.
Reply:I like the idea of painting the walls white and adding great art work on the walls. Get a poster or picture with a pop of color, in addition to blue, like yellow or orange and then you can accessorize with that color -- little pops here and there. Not a lot. Go to www.allposters.com or www.art.com.
Reply:how 'bout a very pale,"powder" blue?same color family,so it should harmonise.
Reply:You could always change the carpet if you like, but if you must choose a paint color, either go neutral or bold.

Neutral is either white, beige, off white, eggshell, etc.

Bold would be a bright orangy color, since orange is the compliment of blue.

You could even paint the room neutral, but leave one wall only for the vibrant orange. This wall would be the accent wall.

Good luck.
