blue %26amp; brown are the hot color combo right now, so that would look very modern %26amp; elegant.

Reply:how about going with orange seeing as you can't fight it there are some stunning ones ,and silks are popular now find some coordinating fabric-preferably a stripe for throw pillows and drapes!(if you can tone down the white trim to a cream -even better
Reply:Light blue sheets %26amp; maybe a comforter that's Royal blue %26amp; light blue in it. You lost me with the orange carpeting. I would have gone with mauve or another pastel color. If the carpet has to stay, I never would have painted the walls the color you did. (Royal blue) It's not a nice flow of colors. It's your room, so enjoy.
Reply:Pale blue and white is nice.

Sctually an orange colored carpet and royal blue paint don't really go together. Just avoid getting another color in your room...stick to the ones you have, but in pastel tones.
Reply:Repaint the walls white because it's cheaper than replacing the carpet. Then worry about what color sheets and comforter to buy.
Reply:I would go with white..
Reply:This totally depends upon the type of color scheme you are going for. The four basic color schemes:

Monochromatic, just as the name implies, is a color scheme based on one hue, including all its gradations of shades, tints and tones.

In your case, this would be using various shades of blue, so perhaps a light periwinkle or a dark midnight blue.

Complementary color schemes create contrast by combining colors that are opposite one another on the color wheel. For example, blue contrasts with orange. The intensity of the color will dictate how dramatic and bold this color statement will be.

In your case, since your carpet is already orange, this would likely be overkill.

Analogous or Harmonious, colors directly next to each other on the color wheel, create harmony.

In your case this would be greens and purples. Keep in mind the dark hue of royal blue and stay away from say, shockingly violet purple.

Polychromatic schemes use any or all of the colors in the spectrum. Multicolor combinations can be either bright and stimulating or subtle combinations of pale pastels.

Sine you already seem to have the complimentary style with the orange carpet, I would go with a monochromatic match to one of the colors for your bedspread. A lighter blue hue would likely be good.
