Is a red, white, and blue wedding too patriotic??
Very patriotic. You might as well get married on the fourth of July.
Reply:I'm having an Americana wedding in July, and it's very elegant and pretty, just don't use to much! Remember it's your day! Your the one who will remember this day for the rest of your life, and with a wedding like that everyone else will remember it too! Report It

Reply:Depends on the month you are getting married.
Reply:It's going to look way too patriotic.
Reply:YES!!.................You are marring a Woman, not the U.S. Also the U.S. can't do what she can. BUT!!.(there is a but}....If thats what she wants............keep it sinceble, because Paybacks a Bitc...you know!

KEEP your head up!!!
Reply:i mean its ur wedding, and u like those colors. what does ur fiancee think? if u both like it, go 4 it u will only have ur wedding. i am goin threw the same thing... not with those colors though. hope everything go's well for u and urs.
Reply:I think thats an awesome color sceme. I was going to use those colors in my wedding as well but my fiance and i decided to go with camoflauge instead. It will look very elegant if you get the right things to complement it. It will also be very easy for you to find inexspensive decorations. Good Luck and Congrats.
Reply:How could you not thnk it was patriotic?

You could always have an Americana themed wedding.

Then again you could do a red %26amp; white or a blue %26amp; white wedding eliminating the other color altogether.
Reply:I'd say yes if the colors are done in overwhelming/equal amounts. If you run white as the major color and keep the blue n red to minimum, you could pull it off. Ours was white n blue, so we were almost there.
Reply:Its YOUR wedding....Be creative and do what you want! Good Luck!!
Reply:If it's what you and your fiancee want then I say go for it.

Its YOUR day!
Reply:cheesy!

personally, i am a big fan of weddings that employ two-color schemes. elegance is the key, in my opinion.

and in no cases should such a strong red and blue be mixed. the colors jar against each other in the context of creating an atmosphere. this is why you never see red and blue together unless you are looking at a kid's room or something.
Reply:Yes, a little too partiotic for a wedding. But its your wedding, do you what makes you feel good.
Reply:Since you brought it up, that is so cool!!!! Patriotic, yes and a excellent idea. I proud of ya, go for it. Wish I could be there, you could have just started a new style wedding. Go for it. Wooo Hooo, so cool.
Reply:Hmm...well my personal opinion is against too much of a theme in any wedding. A few things that match or compliment each other are fine, but zealous brides sometimes go overboard with it. I was at a wedding where the "theme" was Cinderella, and it was just nauseatingly overdone. Cinderella slippers with candy on the tables, Cinderella invitations, Cinderella cake, it was a lot to take in, and actually decreased from the elegance of the wedding. To me a theme is usually reserved for a birthday party. That isn't to say you can have a color "scheme." You should be thinking about what colors go best together. You could do those colors, but I just wouldn't plaster American flags over everything just ot make it match. Good luck to you!
Reply:My friend got married on the 4th of July and used red, white and blue and it was very tasteful. The bridesmaids wore navy blue dresses and shoes and arm wraps, the groomsmen wore black tuxes with black ties/vests, the brides' bouquet was only red roses with white ribbon around the stalks, the bridesmaid's bouquets were red roses with white accents and small bluebells. The candles were white. The cake was white with fresh red roses, white calla lilies and other color flowers lying around the base of and directly on the cake (all frosting was white). The decorations were regular tan woven baskets for centerpieces with red or white flowers and blue balloons.
Reply:patriotic yes, but leave the flags out, and you have a nice color theme.
Reply:It will have a patriotic feel to it. If you wnat it to turn into a patriotic theme it may end up with that theme feeling, but if you are cool with it, then it is your wedding to enjoy.
