Hey, would a royal blue Baby G watch suit me, a woman?

This is the watch I bought for myself for the gym, but I am not sure if it would suit me. I am fair skinned and dark haired. Thanks, just need some opinions.

Casio Model no: BG-163A-2BVDR

Hey, would a royal blue Baby G watch suit me, a woman?
I think so, they're great, functional watches. I'm in the navy and I'm on my second but I've been able to work, swim, exercise with them and they can definitely take a beating. I use the stopwatch while I run and mine has a world time feature which was great while I traveled to different countries, and they're pretty comfortable and easy to use. I'm a big fan of blue, and I'm also 26 yrs. old so don't worry, I'm not some high school kid telling you it's cool, I really do like them.
Reply:Hell yes!!!! I have a G-Shock, love it, wear it whenever I do anything outdoors.

Girls look great with those watches, more adventuress, in a Lara Croft way. And blue is a great colour to say you wear it for a practical reason... not just cause you like pink. (in the case of pink ones)

Plus blue looks good on fair skin.

What can I combine with royal blue for ma wedding decoration?

I think red would look good. Silver and gold are also good options, as well as white.

What can I combine with royal blue for ma wedding decoration?
thanks to all who answered ma question Report It

Reply:I´m not sure if you are asking about colours or things in particular.

I would keep things simple. If your reception were predominantly white then you could add royal blue accents like ribbon to the chair or around the napkins. Maybe the same colour on the table cards etc. A few blue balloons mixed with white if that appeals or blue tulle. My bridesmaids dresses are light green so instead of carrying that colour through i have brought purple into my reception adding this as accents. You can get crystal gels for vases to go with cut flowers or a variety of colours that were mentioned before. they look cool.

You could also carry a sea theme through your wedding if you happen to be getting married near the ocean and if not then why the heck not do it any way.

for me this was the hardest bit of the wedding choosing colours. my one and foremost tip is that if in doubt simplify things. good luck
Reply:I think silver and/or even white would be a good combination with royal blue. Red, just simple red, wouldn't be bad either. Congratulations on your wedding.

if you get a delux colour book (they always announce on the adverts that they know the colours that go lol!) you can see other colours that will go with royal blue.

Wedding ideas: Royal blue and white in June.?
I am going with blue bonnets as a filler and Yellow roses for the main flowers in my bouquets!!!!!

CENTERPIECES I am using a 5" x 5" Mirror underneath a 3" high x 5" bowl with white floating candles and with clear and blue marbles/stones with a water glitter in so that the light reflects off even more.

TABLES will have 1 on each table with blue and white rose petals on both sides surrounding the floating candles and our tables will have white table clothes with a blue runner down the center.. They are great!

So we have lots of baseball themed things.. just find your theme you want to have and you can go from there.. Blue and white are beach colors also.. if that's what you want there are LOTS of things for that!!!!! *** Just have fun and relax and enjoy!!! *** You can look up on this web site and just add your colors insted of the ones shown...http://images.google.com/images?gbv=2%26amp;sv...

Bouquets: carry white calla lilies with blue ribbons wrapped around the stem. Bridesmaids carry a single... You carry a bunch with 4-6.

Dresses: Royal blue dresses. I wore a pretty one from David's bridal 2 years ago, and I loved it. It came with a blue wrap, too! We wore white shoes.

Cake: all white cake. Have a blue tablecloth under the cake. Have the service set there beside the cake.

White Christmas lights are also very nice to string up on a trellis if you have room.

Hint: Stay away from red. That way, people will know that the colors are blue and white instead of patriotic.

Reply:black! it's royal blue, so dont worry about it clashing with the black. if the dress is skintight i'd say wear black round, closed toe pumps. if the dress is lose and flowy you can basically wear any kind of heel.

oh if you end up pairing the dress with black shoes/accessories, remember that any metal you wear must be silver! and if you do white, the metal should be gold.

please put a link of the dress up, i'm dying to see it!

My bridesmaid dresses are royal blue with an espresso brown sash on them. Will that look bad with black tuxes?

Great colors! I considered royal blue.

I think it will look fine with black tuxes. Consider a color square to match the dresses.

My bridesmaid dresses are royal blue with an espresso brown sash on them. Will that look bad with black tuxes?
I would do a black sash with the royal blue dresses because I just don't think espresso looks good with royal blue. I think black tuxes with a royal blue dress with a black sash would look really sharp. If you are going to keep the espresso sash, then I would go with espresso tuxes so that everyone blends together. The pictures will look a lot better. It will look like everything was planned out and a lot of work was put into it if the sash of the girl's dress matches or blends with the tux the guys are wearing.
Reply:That will look great with black tuxes. Maybe the guys can wear a vest that will match the blue dresses. If you want to see how it will all look - David's bridal has a wedding party creator. Even if it is a different dress you can see how the colors will look next to each other.

Thinking about it - I don't know if royal blue and brown go very well together. Maybe do black sashes with the girls.
Reply:Black goes with everything, that's why they make black suits.

If the espresso brown sash doesn't look garish on the royal dresses by itself, then it will look fine with the black tuxes. Good luck coordinating the ties, though. You might have to get them custom made, unless your bridal shop sells them along with the dress.
Reply:I am having navy also, and the men are wearing black. Just incorporate the navy and/or brown into their outfit with the tie, flowers, pocket square, etc.
Reply:It will match. If you are really worried about it you could always get black sashes instead of brown.

Would a long formal royal blue dress look nice along with white pumps?

NO white. Silver strappy!

Would a long formal royal blue dress look nice along with white pumps?
no!
Reply:sounds kinda prom like
Reply:yah it look nice
Reply:yup totally cute
Reply:Yeah, but high heels would be better on that dress!

But it will still look fab!
Reply:I think pumps are more for the casual look, perhaps try some shoes similar but with heels, and if you cant walk in proper heels, try some of those wedge heels or even kitty heels may look good ;] hope it helps
Reply:Silver strappy slings. MizzMaddi3, what is "cote"? Cali, it's dyed not died.
Reply:I think royal blue matching shoes would look better. If you can't find matching ones you could get them dyed to match. White with dark blue doesn't appeal to me. Maybe silver would be better...with some silver jewelry to tie it all together.

*died/dyed...I knew that! lol ;-)
Reply:it sounds like it wood look cute
Reply:I think that would be soooo cote!! yes!!
Reply:not on me
Reply:I think not....you are mixing 2 genres of clothing and unless you want to appear gauche, it's best not to dabble with the accepted formula. White kitten heel shoes would be more appropriate and easier to wear than high heels.

"Royal Blue" is a subjective description. Everyone will have a slightly different idea of what color constitutes royal blue.

If Cobalt Blue right out of the tube isn't your idea of royal, mix your other other blues together, maybe with a little purple added, until you get the color you want.

I have a royal blue prom dress, and im need to know if i should have a simple necklace or nice complicated?

Simple is always better, but go fancy with your hair.

I have a royal blue prom dress, and im need to know if i should have a simple necklace or nice complicated?
simple is always extra chic, however, with complicated you run the risk of doing too much or worse or running into a tacky incompatibility. you could always get two-very cheap thrift stores- and try them both on if you wear the complicated one look in the mirror and take off one thing as you walk out the door. always a good measure just to keep your outfit looking nice.

p.s if you go for simple less stuff to carry as you change for after prom! have fun!!
Reply:i would go with a simple necklace....if the dress is really nice it can speak for itself, meaning try not to draw the attention away from the dress.... a simple necklace can complement the dress.... but keep it simple....simple is hott believe it or not :)

I have a royal blue prom dress, and i need to know if i should have a simple necklace or nice complicated?

I think a nice complicated necklace would look good. The dress has simple designs on so a fancy beaded or diamond/crystal necklace would really add to it.

I have a royal blue prom dress, and i need to know if i should have a simple necklace or nice complicated?
it all depends on the style of the dress if the dress is really detailed and lines close around the neck then no necklace should be worn but Dangle Drop Long Earring but if it is strapless go wit simple.. but if the dress is plain and simple and falls far from the neck... go complicated ma dear!!.. but simple earrings
Reply:With a dres like yours, you could go complicated or simple. The thing is to not overdo it and look overdone. I browsed around the internet and came across some possible ideas for what type of necklace you may want to get.

When I went shopping for prom jewelry, looked online for styles that I liked. If they price was too rich for my blood, I went to places like Macy*s, Claires, and Target to find a replica.
Reply:you should wear either an elegant round necklace in silver, or long earrings... not both. one or the other usually tends to be best with longer dresses.
Reply:A simple necklace and small earings would look best.
Reply:Oooooooo.....Complicated necklace definetly!
Reply:the dress is pretty itelf i would go simple......!!!!
Reply:wow! i say simple, you don't want to force everyone's focus on your necklace, when your dress is already so pretty and the color is great... simple is classier.
Reply:Its a very pretty dress, I really like the color, especially if your skin tone is similar to that of the model's. I would recommend an extravagant necklace OR extravagant earrings, but not both. I don't know what your budget is, but if you wear a necklace like this (which is gold but I would suggest silver): http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/in... then I would suggest earrings like these: http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/in... However if you choose to go with a simpler necklace, like this: http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/in... then you can go with fancier earrings.
Reply:I always like big earrings for strapless dresses like that. I think if you bought some dangly chandelier earrings with lots of sparkle that it would look great with the dress
Reply:well if you want to wear big earrings then go with a small simple necklace, but if you want to wear a big necklace then some small studded earrings. You don't want to much going on and all the focus is on the jewelry and not the dress...silver would be nice

Reply:It's surprising the number of colours that work well with royal blue. Here are those I can think of:

1) white and red - easy match which conjures up the nautical and patriotic themes.

2) yellow - I just love the contrast between these 2 vivid colours but it takes a fair amount of self-confidence to carry it off in an outfit.

3) emerald green - fairly easy match, probably quite conservative.

4) black - very trendy match since last winter, probably quite fashion-forward - I personally love this match too.

I'm not sure there's a "best" match as such, it all depends on what effect you want to achieve.

Hope this helps!

I have a royal blue dress..What kind of makeup should I wear??

I have like a dark brownish skin color and brown eyes..

I have a royal blue dress..What kind of makeup should I wear??
shimmery silver or gold eyeshadow to bring the diva in you....

bold black eyeliner and mascara

use a shimmery white eyeliner on top of black like tyra banks does to make ur eyes pop

a pink lipstick with clear gloss coated lighlty on top

get shimmery gloss and dab on middle for pout

concealer stick-one shade slighly lighter and one shade slighly darker than skin color

rub all around face then blend it beautifully to make it look natural and make your face look soft and dreamy(do this first)

always carry makeup in bag for retouches
Reply:royal blue in a cool color, so lets go with the cools. use the darkest eye liner you can for your lashes. using it on the upper water line toward your lashes. %26amp; a small line if you want to be subtle on the lid. If you don't want to be subtle, go for a thicker line %26amp; lets go glam!

to make your eyes look bigger use a white eye liner on the inner rim-water line of your lower lashes, %26amp; then the darker one on the outside.

layer your mascara if you want to glam it up - using a brush to separate lashes if needed - even a hard toothbrush.

go with cool shades of lip colors %26amp; blushes,

reds-yes do it light or glam

pinks %26amp; roses

or even neutrals,

since your eyes are going to have it you don't have to glam everythng up--they're what's gonna show in the light .

use a lighter color foundation or some concealer in the narrow of your eyes next to your nose, %26amp; use a white hi-lighter on your forehead, above %26amp; below your brows %26amp; on your cheekbones, this looks great-bringing the light to your face %26amp; Great pictures!
Reply:natural, and do white on the inside, fading back into royal blue, trust me it will look amazing. if you don't like that idea i'd suggest a sparkly white, always looks hot on dark skin tones. i wouldn't suggest bronzer or cover up, (unless absolutely needed) cause you might be sweating...party? if not then its fine to use...do some medium pink/peach-ish colored blush, with a shade lighter than your skintone poder, mac sells a good brand of blush, and sweep that around where your brush is and up by your temples, it makes a difference. and i know you didn't ask for this but im like picturing the look and i need to suggest it haha.. maybe some diamond chandelier earrings? of course not real diamonds..but that sounds like a pretty good combo.

good luck!
Reply:try keeping a natural look but with some blue shadow. Mac has some AMAZING pigments. Use a darker shade on the crease and a lighter shade on your lid. It should look nice :D

I found that people with tanner skin who keep a more natural look end up looking nicer. good luck!
Reply:A navy blue eyeliner with white frosted shadow on lids

black mascara

depending on your skin color, you should try some light foundation and a peachy blush preferably luminizing.

Hope I helped!!!
Reply:maybe some dark blue eyeshawdow and light mascara...

and some blush

but im not that good with this kind of stuff.

lol, anyway hope i helped! :)
Reply:wear dark eyeliner and lots of mascara! thats it! (put eyeliner on bottom and top)
Reply:Navy eyeliner and some shimmery(but not too shimmery) eye shadow. Melon colored lip gloss/stick
Reply:Blue either light or wear light white thats glittery
Reply:like goldish and white with maybe a dark brown in your crease.

I have Royal Blue carpet and a beige couch. I am looking for color ideas for walls/curtains?

You should play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family %26amp; color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

Based on your description, I suggest a color called "link gray." And then find curtains to match the carpet %26amp; it will all tie together.

lite blue or beige

Why royal blue is named as royal?

Royal blue is a lighter shade of blue.

In religion, Royal Blue is the color of royalty to welcome the coming of a King. It can also symbolize the night sky in which the star appeared to announce the birth of Jesus.

It is a colour worn by Everton FC, a british football team and is mentioned in their traditional song "The Royal Blue Mersey".

I have blonde hair and i'm looking to dye the under-layer a royal blue. any recommendations?

which dye will work best? i've heard that a greenish tint is common when blond hair is dyed blue..how can i prevent this? any other details are much appreciated.

I have blonde hair and i'm looking to dye the under-layer a royal blue. any recommendations?
You'll have to keep doing it blue. Even the stuff they say is PERMANENT does fade to green within a few weeks, so you can have a friend comb some blue back into it.

Make sure it is OK with your place of employment dress code. I had to cut my hair or get fired. :(
Reply:Special Effects would be the best in my opinion, however blue based colours tend to last a shorter time than pink/red based ones so you might find you have to re-do your hair every few weeks.

You can see loads of blue hair dye results here....

http://www.beeunique.co.uk/bluepage1.htm
Reply:i recomend not to!!!!!!!!!
Reply:oooh that sounds soooo pretty....much luck :-)
Reply:no matter what color you dye it, it will fade inevitably

blue will fade to a greenish gray, so you just have to pick the right shade. Try Special Effects at Hot Topic, they have some great shades of blue, go for a more violet blue than a greenish, so it wont be as bad when it fades
Reply:My sister did that but instead of blue it was black. It was okay for a while, but her hair is too thin. I guess you could say her hair is anorexic b/c it's so thin. Just don't keep dying it and use special shampoo for colored hair. You won't have to keep dying it blue unless you really want to and if you don't like the outcome, don't dye it by yourself again. Get to a salon.

I recently noticed while watching footage of the British queen that her garb is not purple or royal blue...?

it's a darker shade of red; either burgundy or garnet. My question is: when did this become the royal color and why? Only serious answers, please.

I recently noticed while watching footage of the British queen that her garb is not purple or royal blue...?
Burgundy and /or garnet were always a royal color. It's rich it's dark enough, if you study Renaissance the color above mentioned is predominant. I don't know when this became her royal color, but times are changing, mind you. I think it's as much royal as the purple or the royal blue. I this I heard this before, but dark reds are supposedly her favorite, but I might be dead wrong. Anyway... I hope this helps.

For a informal / casual lunch i am planning to wear royal blue shalwar kameez?

i would like to know what shade of lipstick will suit ?? i want a light shade, plus what colour of footwear will look good or blue dress? if i wl wear black flats will that be ok? or brown? or what?confused please help....

For a informal / casual lunch i am planning to wear royal blue shalwar kameez?
Colors tend to fall into either warm or cool color groups.

It's it's a sky blue or royal blue, then I'd go with a soft pinkish or mauve tone that doesn't have a bit of peachy or yellow tint to it. If it's a greener shade of blue, then I'd go with something peachier, but still soft.

(trick I use is whether or not it would match up better with silver or copper colored metals than bronze or gold Sliver is cool, gold is warm)

Black flats would probably be fine. They are acceptable with just about anything, brown can be harder to make sure it looks right. If the tone is off, it can look funny.

Here are a couple of links for how to choose the right shades of lipstick..

I am wearing a strapless royal blue gown to a ball. What color/type should my accessories be?

I like chic, funky, modern, in fashion, high fashion styles. The gown is floor legnth and bunched on the lower half. The top half is plain and strapless. It is from David's Bridal. If you go to davidsbridal.com, it is style number 81123 in Calypso blue. I like creative answers! I am also looking for a fabulous costume jewelry site- I would love a large CZ/swarovski choker!

I am wearing a strapless royal blue gown to a ball. What color/type should my accessories be?
It really does depend on what kind of jewelry looks best on you, because anything could go with such a pretty colored dress. Do you think you look best in gold or maybe silver? If i were you I would go with some simple jewelry on the neck, like a plain yet elegant neclace (a short one) and some long and fancy earrings that match the necklace.
Reply:go for metals like white gold plated or bling and a darker richer blue accent is a good idea too
Reply:I just looked at the dress and WOW.

It's beautiful, and honestly, you don't really need much to play it up.

Maybe chandeleir type earrings, and maybe a thick black bracelet on one wrist.

But this dress is so simple, and elegant, you shouldn't really put so much on, it'd take away the attention from such a great dress.

And maybe a pearl necklace, or some pearl bracelts.
Reply:royal blue matches gold or silver really well...
Reply:sounds like a pretty and elegant dress. So i wouldn't go and ruin it with big chunky jewelery that will take away from the dress.

Something elegant either pearls or diamonds ( rhinestone that look like diamonds but arn't) they will look nice on the royal blue gown.

You could also go with a nice blue saphire stone in the center with pearl necklace

stay away from bright bold colours other than what your wearing you will clash.

If your a tiny person Don't be over powering on your jewelry you won't be able to pull it off. if however your big boned something very tiny like a tear drop necklace will be lost on you..

So I would try diffferent necklaces on so you can get the visual for yourself you want it sitting nicely on you and enhance the dress not over power or take away from your outfit.

Have a good time bet you'll look great in it.
Reply:i would go for a

-black

-white

-light blue

mix and match them and see whst u come up with
Reply:white, silver or gold jewelery. But not too big and gaudy!
Reply:I would go with alot of silver ,and a big fashion ring with a stone to match your gown !wow should be beautiful.

My dining room is painted with the blue tints one and I love it...you will too...blue is such a wonderful color for a room. It calms you and brings peaceful feelings. Think about blue in nature....does the ocean come to your mind? the colors of the sea...sea shells sunshine and sea gulls, light houses and driftwood? Or do you think of a meadow? lush green grass, bright wild flowers in all colors, billowing clouds in an endless sky?

What are some colors that go with a butter color yellow, royal blue, lime green, and a hottish pink?

These are three different articles of clothing, so you must think of them seperately. What color should I paint my Walls if my carpet is the color Royal Blue???

So, my carpet in my room is royal blue and my bedframe, shelves %26amp; furniture are white. I need to find a color to paint my walls though, because right now I have a dark blue for the walls and it always looks dark in the room. So any ideas???

What color should I paint my Walls if my carpet is the color Royal Blue???
try taking some white paint and mixing just a little bit of blue in at a time until you get a really pale baby blue... that should look cool.
Reply:yeah it would look dark that way.

try using lighter shades of blue. or try mixing it with more white, some black and brown so it wouldnt look like a baby blue child's room.
Reply:Soft butter yellow, taupe, or white.

To help blend in your colors, say if you picked taupe walls, pick a curtain/bedspread/pillows, whatever, with combinations of white, taupe, blues so it helps bring it all together. So really, if you love green, you can still use green on the walls (choose a clean color green, because royal blue is a clean color), just tie it in with accessories, bedding and stuff.

It is not necessary to prime if you are using good quality paints, 2 coats should cover the blue, if your using cheaper line of paint, then i would recommend the primer. Just do a 2 coat test patch. You will know if thats all you need to do.

Have fun!
Reply:Beige, light gray, pale yellow, pale blue, pale lavendar (blue tone)... or any of these in tone-on-tone stripes. All will contrast with your furniture and make your room brighter, but still go with your carpet. An off-white with any undertone can also work but make sure it contrasts with your furniture enough. you could also leave one of your walls the current color as an accent wall ( pick a shorter wall, ideally one with the "view" through the window or where the headboard will go).

Just make sure you apply two coats of primer to prevent bleedthru or patchy bits though, since you're going from a dark color to a light one.
Reply:think of the color of cold whipped butter. that would be nice. to colorize plain white, the best method and least expensive method is to use tint. go to a dedicated paint store (*not* Lowe's or HD) and ask them to show you tints. they're really inexpensive and the good news is it's hard to make errors using this method.

taupe and royal might be too strange.

whatever you decide, practice on white boards first
Reply:well if your feeling adventurous you could do red and have a red white and blue room. haha. but if not, i would say a good mid point between those two colors would be good. my suggestion is something in the light blue/pale blue area. it will help bring the carpet and furniture together. if you want some variety you can get a lighter royal blue and a lighter than that/closer to white blue and do a two tone by splitting the wall in half with masking tape. just remember to primer the walls if you do a lighter color than what you have cuase otherwise it will show through.
Reply:you should play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family %26amp; color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:
