Does Royal Blue Mascara Make Eyes Brighter?

i have dark brown eyes, and dark hair. My mother told me that her family wore royal blue mascara to make eyes brighter (at least the white part of it) ? is this true? or is black mascara better?

Uhm...No think about it like this. you have a brown sheet of construction paper okay? you set a blue one over lapping it. it dosnt make much of a difference. Now picture a black peice overlaping the brown. The darker color brings out the lighter color. So your brown eyes will make the royal blue mascara look brighter, not the other way around.
Reply:I wear blue mascara sometimes, but I find that wearing purple eye shadow or eye liner really is what makes my blue eyes pop. the mascara is just fun sometimes for changing things up.
Reply:no, but a little royal blue eye liner or shadow will make brown eyes pop! Your mascara should be the blackest you can find, the darker the better.





blue mascara looks good on blue eyes or hazel eyes, but you only use the colored mascara on top of the black or brown and just a little, otherwise it'll look clownish.
Reply:i'v tried colored mascara and in my experience it just mostly make you look like Tammy Faye Baker.(not a good thing).


eyeliners seem to do the most for brightening eyes up, that and eyeshadow. brown eyes look good in eggplant(purple family) and i believe green also.black mascara is always the best color choice.
